What is a Hydroclean?
A hydroclean is a specialised service which includes fully pulling apart the evaporator (indoor unit) and completing a thorough clean with our high-power machine.
We start by hanging a cleaning bag, and spraying specialised biodegradable cleaning chemical. We then thoroughly clean the coils, drum fan, drain pan, and all other components. We also flush the drain, and clean the coils of the condensor (outdoor unit). We leave the AC free from mould/build-up, and sparkling clean.

Can I do a hydroclean myself?We're all for having a go and learning new things, but this is a job best left to the professionals. We've seen broken cases, broken louvres, and had clients drop bags full of dirty water all over their beds, attempting to clean their own air conditioners. It's not a clean job -- we wear masks and eye protection because, inevitably, some of that mould (and sometimes chemical) will spray on our faces while doing the job.

How often should I have my AC cleaned?This depends on how often you run your AC. For people who only run their AC in summer, we would recommend once a year, preferably at the end of the hot season when you turn your units off for winter -- this way, they're ready to go for the next hot season and aren't sitting around full of mould all winter long! For people who run their AC outside of summer, we would recommend twice a year. The more you run your AC, the dirtier it gets. If you are running it outside of summer, and you just get it cleaned once a year, you run the risk of internal mould build up that can't be seen from outside of the AC.

Is a new AC unit covered by warranty?Yes. Most units include a 5 year manufacturer warranty, which covers manufacturer defects. We offer a full year warranty on our own workmanship!

Do I need to prepare my home for hydrocleans and installations?Furniture: Please remove any small items under where the AC will be cleaned or installed. We are more than happy to move larger items for you, such as cabinets, drawers, beds, etc... We will cover the area under the AC with drop sheets (we have many!). If the AC is above a bed that cannot be moved out of the way, we will cover it with our specialised, thick drop sheets. Pets: We love them! However, despite being super cute, we ask that you please contain your pets while we are on site. We've experienced bites from dogs multiple times, have stepped on pets while coming down ladders, and have had some try to do a runner as we go in and out of doors. It's in everyone's best interest that pets are contained.
